Laos, Khammouane prov., Boualapha distr., Nong Seng village, southern sandstone slopes at summit of Phou Chuang (Poujeuang) Mt. around point 17°35'00.3"N, 105°47'35.6"E. Primary evergreen mixed and coniferous dense wind-formed forest at elev. 1000-1400 m a.s.l. Lithophytic rosulate herb on vertical mossy cliffs. Leaves uniform green. Locally common, particularly at elevations 1200-1400 m. 4 May 2018, L. Averyanov, Khang Sinh Nguyen, T. Maisak, Littideth Xaiyavongsa, Siphanom Keovankham, AL 677.
Flowered in 10 Sept 2018. Median sepal white, heavily purple spotted in apical part, dark purple in basal half, lateral sepals light brown with darker nerves, lip yellow-brownish, staminode yellow and synsepalum pale yellow. Photos L. Averyanov.

Kham Mouan Prov., Bounlapha Distr., Thong Sam village, Hinnam No Protected Area, Pu Pha Song Mt. composed by sandstone, around point 17°35’13.2”N 105°47’49.8”E. Primary evergreen broad-leaved and mixed forest on W macroslope at elevation from 500 m to the mountain top elevated to 1425 m. Clustering lithophyte in rocky steep SW slopes and on rocky mountain top in wind formed gnarled forest at the mountain top at elevation 1350 m. Very rare.

N. Vietnam, prov. Son La, distr. Moc Chau, municipality Chieng Hac, vicinities of Co Liu village (N 20º51' E 104º38'). Primary evergreen broadleaved wet mossy forest along rocky tops of remnant karst limestone ridge at 1200-1240 m elev. Lithophyte forb on mossy vertical shady cliffs of N exposition. Not common. Flowered in horto in January 2006. Flowers odorless, central sepal white with light pink tint at the middle and purple-brown spots, petals and lip light yellow-brownish.

Primary evergreen mixed and coniferous dense wind-formed forest at elev. 1000-1400 m a.s.l. Lithophytic rosulate herb on vertical mossy cliffs. Leaves uniform green. Locally common, particularly at elevations 1200-1400 m. 4 May 2018, L. Averyanov, Khang Sinh Nguyen, T. Maisak, Littideth Xaiyavongsa, Siphanom Keovankham, AL 677.

Paphiopedilum gratrixianum Rolfe
Kham Mouan Prov., Bounlapha Distr., Thong Sam village, Hinnam No Protected Area, Pu Pha Song Mt. composed by sandstone, around point 17°35’13.2”N 105°47’49.8”E. Primary evergreen broad-leaved and mixed forest on W macroslope at elevation from 500 m to the mountain top elevated to 1425 m. Clustering lithophyte in rocky steep SW slopes and on rocky mountain top in wind formed gnarled forest at the mountain top at elevation 1350 m. Very rare.
