Plant flowered in culture in Nguyen Van Canh Garden in Buon Ma Thuot originated from Dak Nong Province, Dak Song District, Quang Son Commune, Nam Nung Nature Reserve, primary dry evergreen broad-leaved forest on basalt and lava rocks at elevation of about 900 m a.s.l. around the point 12º10’N 107º46’E epiphytic subshrub, not common.

Plant flowered in culture in Nguyen Van Canh Garden in Buon Ma Thuot originated from Phu Yen Province, Tuy Hoa City, Hoa Xuan Commune, highly degraded secondary evergreen broad-leaved dry forest with bamboo on very steep rocky mountain slope on granite at elevation of about 400 m a.s.l., around point 12º53’N 109º24’E (Bia Mountain), terrestrial herb in open place.

The border of Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa provinces, Khanh Le Pass, around point N12º10.7 E108º40.6. Remnants of primary evergreen broad-leaved forest on granite and gneiss at elevation about 600 m a.s.l. Clustering epiphyte on tall mossy trees. Common.
