Son La, Moc Chau district, Van Ho municipality, Hua Tat village. On degraded limestone mountain, rocky outcrops from ca. 1200-1350 m surrounded by cultivated fields, mostly logged for valuable timber; on limestone. 20°46'18"N 104°47'45"E 1200 - 1350 m Occasional; epiphyte; at ridgetop; inflorescence with 3 flowers; "rear" tepals green to white with raised dark green ridges outside; "upper" petals green at base and white on lobes; lateral tepals twisted with dark purple-black hairs and spots; "slipper" dull green with red purple tint outside; inside brighter, stiff, red-purple hairs at upper opening; rostellum white with green markings and white at edge;
pollinia yellow-orange; ovary bright and shiny.
