S.Vietnam, Thua Thien Hue Prov., Phu Loc Distr., Bach Ma National Park, N slope of Bach Ma mt system around point 16°13'53''N 107°49'02''E at elev. about 400 m a.s.l. Broad-leaved evergreen wet secondary closed forest along rocky river valley and on river slopes. Epiphyte in shady place. Not rare.

N. Vietnam, prov. Lao Cai, distr. Sa Pa, near Tram Tau village, N

slope of Hoang Lien Son ridge at 1950-2000 m elev. (N 22º20' E

103º50'). Secondary broadleaved evergreen wet forest with remnants of

primary elements on shales. Erect chlorophylless saprophyte forb with

reddish-brown stem up to 2.5 m hg on open slope with bamboos. Flowers

dull yellow; lip yellow, side lobes of gypochile with reddish stripes.

Occasionally common.

Selectly logged primary evergreen dry broad-leaved forest on very steep

slopes and cliffs composed with crystalline highly eroded marble-like

limestone near the top of ridge at elevation 500 m a.s.l.

Lithophytic and terrestrial herb. Very common.

Primary broad-leaved evergreen closed wet forest on very steep slopes

and cliffs of rocky ridges and mesae composed with white solid

marble-like crystalline limestone.

Terrestrial and lithophytic herb on tops of ridge. Common.

N. Vietnam, prov. Cao Bang, distr. Ha Lang, municipality Thanh Nhat (N

22ø41' E 106ø40'), about 42 km to E from Cao Bang town. Primary open

coniferous and mixed semideciduous forest along tops of remnant

limestone ridge at 600 m alt. Epiphyte and epilite. Flowers pale

yellow, lip with brown keels. Very common, sporadically abundant.
