Son La Prov., Thuan Chau Distr., Phong Lai Comm., Phieng Long Village, foots of Pha Din pass areas, remnants of primary evergreen broad-leaved forests on limestone mountains, elev. 800-1000 m a.s.l. Lithophytic perennial herbs, flowers brownish white with 3 pale purple stripes on each sepal. Not very common.

Humid mossy secondary forest and scrub on very steep slopes of mountain composed with solid marble-like highly eroded limestone on the territory of town botanical garden. Terrestrial and lithophytic herb on open mossy limestone rocks. Occasional.

Old secondary broad-leaved evergreen humid forest on wet very steep alluvial slopes based on solid, marble-like highly eroded limestone at elevation of 600–650 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb to 0.5 m tall on very steep rocky stream slope. Locally very common.

Terrestrial herb in shady wet place among big rocks Locally very common.

Bac Kan Province, Ba Be District, Nam Mau Municipality, central part of Ba Be National Park. Rather dray evergreen broad-leaved old secondary forest with domination of Burretiodendron hsienmu and Streblus asper on crystalline highly eroded rocky limestone at elevation 600-750 m a.s.l. Terrestrial and lithophytic herb on shady wet and humid rocky valley between limestone hills. Leaves dark green. Locally common.

Son La Province, Thuan Chau District, Chieng Pha Commune. Flowered and collected in cultivated plant on 26 June 2024, Truong Ba Vuong & Loc Bao Sang, BV 1899.

Flowers opening from the apex to base, floral bract as long as pedicel (with ovary), apex acute, touching base of flower, the dorsal sepal apical papillose, surface sparely hairs, lateral sepals sparely hairs, lip spurred, inside spur with a rounded lamellae for each side. Lip epichile 2 lobed, margin erose with minute hairs.

Lithophytic and epiphytic creeping herb on vertical shady mossy cliff. Locally abundant.
