Creeping epiphyte on mossy tree. Flowers dull yellowish, lip dull violet to brownish. Not common.

However, our palnt strickingly differs in minute narrowly ovate tobroadly lanceolate spirally arranged leaves and long creping plagiotropic stemswith rather short ascending branches. Flowers commonly solitary, corollabroadly ovoid to almost globular, white. Species name refers certainresemblance shoots of our plant and leafy stems of Empetrum nigrum L.
