Remnants of broad-leaved evergreen closed primary and secondary forest on steep mountain slopes composed with sandstone and limestone at elev. about 1200 m a.s.l. Rosulate lithophytic herb on vertical travertine deposits on vertical shady cliff. Flowers light pink-violet. Rare.

Terrestrial herb to 1 m tall in shady rocky place. Fruits white, juicy. Not common.
