N.Vietnam, Bac Kan Prov., Cho Don Distr., Ban Thi Municipality, village Phia Khao, around point 22°16′58′'N, 105°31′20′'E at elevation 800-900 m a.s.l. (Lung Chang and Lung Li mountains).
Primary broad-leaved evergreen closed and coniferous (with Pinus kwangtungensis) forest on very steep slopes and cliffs along tops of rocky ridge composed with solid marble-like stratified limestone.
Creeping epiphytic vine 1.5-2 m long. Very common.
Dak Nong Province, Dak Song District, Nam Nung Nature Reserve around point 12.1200N 107.4233E.
Fractionally logged primary evergreen broad-leaved and mixed forest with Dacrydium, Dacrycarpus and Pinus latteri on granite at elevation about 900 m a.s.l. Creeping epiphyte in tall tree. Not rare.
