Southern Vietnam, Lam Dong province, Bidoup Nui Ba National Park, evergreen broad-leaved forest, about 1500-1600 m a.s.l. 2 September 2018, Nguyen Van Canh, AL 410, 2 living plant only.
Flowered in April – May 2020. Herbarium prepared in 25 April 2020. Flowers odorless; median sepal white with purple apical half; lateral sepals almost white with purple tint along upper margin, petals bright purple violet; lip pure white; column green, anther bright yellow. Scattered in the primary closed evergreen tropical seasonal broad-leaved submontane shaly, sandstone, rhiolit, deep soil. Perennial herb, saprophytic, up to 0.5 tall; flowers yellowish with violet traces.

Vietnam, Dak Nong Prov., Dak Glong Distr., Dak Plao Municipality, steep mountain slopes along main ridge of Ta Dung mountain system at elevation 1700-1985 m a.s.l. around point of highest peak at 11º51’30’’N 108º02’08’’E. Primary broad-leaved evergreen closed wet mossy cloudy forest on crystalline highly metamorphosed sandstone. Terrestrial achlorophyllous light brownish saprophyte (stem with indistinct dirty violet marks) up to 1.4 m tall. Not common.

S. Vietnam, Prov. Kon Tum, Distr. Dak Gley, about 7-8 km to the S of Dak Gley town on Dak Poko river near Dak Tung village. Primary dry evergreen mountain forest on elevation to Ping Zeng mountain at 900-1100 m alt.
Brownish-yellow saprophyte with inflorescence up to 1.5 m hogh. On shadow slopes of stream canyon. Not too rare. Sepals light yellow with small grey marks, petals light yellow with 3 violet stripes, hypochile light violet, mesochile and epichile light brown with light yellow spots on margins. Column light yellow.

Primary mixed forest with Pinus dalatensis and P. krempfii on W slope of Hon Giao ridge. Terrestrial achlorophyllous whitish saprophyte on shady mossy slope. Stem, ovary and tepals silvery-whitish with dirty violet marks. Very rare.

Heavily logged primary and secondary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest and scrub on rocky ridge composed with solid and stratified marble-like highly eroded crystalline limestone at elevation 550-650 m a.s.l.
Epiphyte (on Phyllanthus spp., Pistacia cucphuongensis, Memecylon sp., Alstonia guangxiensis, Quercus sp., Pittosporum sp.), along tops of ridge. Sepals purple-violet, lip white. Very common.
