Cao Bang Prov., Bao Lac Distr., Dinh Phung municipality, Ban O village.

Primary mixed and coniferous evergreen humid forest with (Pinus sp., Pseudotsuga sinensis, Podocarpus neriifolius) on very steep slopes and on mountain tops composed by solid highly eroded limestone at elevation 1200-1300 m a.s.l. around point 22°45’24.8’’N 105°46’47.9’’E.

Lithophyte, epiphyte and terrestrial herb in shady places on mountain tops. Flowers white, lip with yellow and purple marks. Abundant.

N. Vietnam, prov. Cao Bang, distr. Bao Lac, municipality Yen Lac,

vicinities of Yen Lac village (N 22ø44' E 105ø50'), about 44 km to NWW

from Cao Bang town. Primary open coniferous mossy forest along tops of

limestone remnant karst ridge at 1500 m alt. Epilite. Flowers fine

smelled, white, lip sidelobes stripped with purple, epichile with

yellow center. Very common.

Vietnam, Ha Giang Prov., Quan Ba Distr, about 2 km to the NE of Quan Ba town, around point 23º05’49’’N, 105º01’00’’E at elevation about 1150 m a.s.l. Primary coniferous forest with Calocedrus rupestris, Callitropsis vietnamensis and Pseudotsuga sinensis on rocky highly eroded marble-like limestone remnant mountains. Lithophytic herb on shady wet rocky mossy slope. Flowers white, lip side-lobes deep purple striped, lip with yellow epichile. Very common. Co-dominant of lithophytic herb communities.

vicinities of Lao Va Chai village (N 23º07' E 105º08'), 35.9 km to 27º

of Ha Giang city. Primary wet mossy mixed forest with Tsuga chinensis

on very steep slope of karst remnant limestone ridge at 1400-1500 m

alt. Lithophyte. Flowers pleasant strong smelled, tepals white,

sidelobes of the lip with purple stripes, epichile with yellow center.

Abundant.

Dien Bien Prov., Tua Chua Distr., Sin Chai Municipality, around point 22°03′38”N 103°19′56”E. Primary humid evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep rocky slopes and on tops of remnant mountain composed with highly eroded marble-like solid crystalline limestone at elevation 1350-1500 m a.s.l. Lithophytic creeping herb on tops of ridge. Flowers white, lip white with yellow apex and dark purple stripes on side lobes. Very common.
