S.Vietnam, Ninh Thuan Prov., Ninh Hai Distr., Vinh Hai Municipality, Vinh Hy village, Ao Ho lake around point 11o44'04''N 109o12'44''E at elev. about 300 m a.s.l. Primary dry evergreen to semideciduous forest on rocky slopes composed with granite. Branching palm-like treelet up to 3 m tall on open exposed rocks on ridge tops. Locally very common. Co-dominant of shrub communities on exposed rocks along tops of ridge.
