Khang Sinh Nguyen, 03.07.2020:
The flower of this species is apparently closed to A. marasminoides and A. erecta or A. coccigera group.
It is most closely to A. marasminoides described from Cat Ba N. P., Hai Phong city. But the rhizomatous stem of A. marasminoides is creeping and very long and its anthers ovoid attached in the middle of perianth tube while this species purple oblong anthers attached near orifice (or mouth) of perianth tube. I do not know the rhizomatous stem of this species. The perigone of A. marasminoides is narrowest in middle or near tube (or cupulate in description) while Beddyn's material is widest in mouth or campanulate. Maybe we can consider it as a new species or new variety of A. marasminoides if its rhizomatous stem is erect or short or creeping and long, respectively.
