Luang Prabang prov., Pon Xay distr., Nam Bo village, around point 19°57′23.5′'N 102°26′16.4′'E. Degraded primary evergreen and semideciduous forest on very steep rocky mountain slopes composed by solid marble like highly eroded limestone at elev. 650-750 m a.s.l. Epiphyte and lithophyte on rocky mossy slope near mopuntain top. Locally very common.

Bulbophyllum ambrosia (Hance) Schltr.

Vietnam, Ha Giang Prov., Quan Ba Distr, about 2 km to the NE of Quan Ba town, around point 23º05’49’’N, 105º01’00’’E at elevation about 1150 m a.s.l.

Primary coniferous forest with Calocedrus rupestris, Callitropsis vietnamensis and Pseudotsuga sinensis on rocky highly eroded marble-like limestone remnant mountains.

Creeping epiphyte on very steep mossy rocky slope. Flowers white, sepals with purple stripes. petals white with yellow to greenish tint, lip light yellow to white with purple markings. Very common.

Bulbophyllum ambrosia (Hance) Schltr.

Vietnam, Quang Binh Prov., Minh Hoa Distr., Thuong Hoa Municipality, about 2 km to E of Ban On village (17º40'21''N, 105º58'00E).

Heavily logged primary and secondary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest and scrub on rocky ridge composed with solid and stratified marble-like highly eroded crystalline limestone at elevation 550-650 m a.s.l.

Epiphyte (on Pistacia cucphuongensis, Memecylon sp., Quercus sp., Allospondias lakonensis, Choerospondias axillaris, Pometia pinnata, Aglaia sp., Pterospermum spp., Knema sp.) on high trees. Flowers with Amygdalus fragrance. Common.

Vietnam, Quang Binh Prov., Minh Hoa Distr., Thuong Hoa Municipality, Yen Hop village, about 1 km to NWW of Ban On village (17º40'21''N, 105º58'00''E). Primary closed evergreen broad-leaved and coniferous lowland forest (with Dacrydium elatum) along rocky ridge composed with solid marble-like highly eroded stratified crystalline limestone at elevation 550-650 m a.s.l. Creeping epiphyte on high tree (Quercus sp., Pittosporum sp., Myrsine seguinei, Osmanthus sp., Rutaceae, Dacrydium elatum, Aglaia sp., Knema sp.). Flowers whitish with pink tint and purple veins on tepals. Very common.

Quang Binh Prov., Minh Hoa Distr., Dan Hoa Municipality, Giang Man Ridge (Vietnam-Laos border) near Cha Lo Vietnam-Lao border gate around point 17°41’50”N 105°45’54”E.

Primary evergreen broad-leaved and coniferous (with Dacrycarpus and Fokienia) wet forest along ridge edge composed with shale and sandstone at elevation about 900-1100 m a.s.l.

Creeping epiphyte in canopies of tall trees. Flowers very fragrant, yellowish with pink-purple tint, sepals with pink-purple stripes. Very common.

Lam Dong Province, Lac Duong District, Bidoup Nui Ba National Par, southern slopes of Bidoup Mountain about 5 km to the south from Bidoup peak around point 12º04.076’N 108º38.927E. Primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on steep granite slopes at elevation 2000–2200 m a.s.l. Creeping epiphyte on tall mossy trees. Common.
