Xanthocyparis vietnamensis Farjon & T.H.Nguyen

Vietnam, Ha Giang Prov., Quan Ba Distr, about 2 km to the NE of Quan Ba town, around point 23º05’49’’N, 105º01’00’’E at elevation about 1150 m a.s.l. Primary coniferous forest with Calocedrus rupestris, Xanthocyparis vietnamensis and Pseudotsuga sinensis on rocky highly eroded marble-like limestone remnant mountains. Tree up to 20 m tall and 0.6 m in diam. Common on tops of hills and along ridge edges. Co-dominant of coniferous forest.
