FLORA OF VIETNAM Orchidaceae Bulbophyllum insulsum (Gagnep.) Seidenf.
N. Vietnam, Ha Giang prov., Quan Ba distr., Can Ti municipality, vicinities of Sing Xuoi Ho village (N 23°04′ E 104°59′), 26.2 km to 002° of Ha Giang city. Primary closed evergreen mixed wet mossy forest (with Cupressus, Taxus, Nagea and Pseoudotsuga) along tops of karst remnant limestone ridge at elev. 1100-1150 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on mossy trees. Common.
Flowered in culture at 01 August 2001. Flowers unpleasant fish smelled: column and tepals except lip light dull yellowish-green, outside with brown-pink tint along midvein; lip light dull yellow-greenish with dark brown-purple margins and apex; columnfoot inside purple-violet.
