Laos, Vientiane prov., Vang Vieng district, close vicinities of Vang Vien town, Phu Ngeum Mt., secondary degraded evergreen forest on steep rocky slopes and cliffs composed with karstic highly eroded marble-like limestone at elevation at 350-500 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb with glossy green leaves to 45 cm long on steep rocky shady mt slope. Common. AL 194 (5 living plants). 13 December 2015, L.Averyanov, T.Maisak, M.Nuraliev, N.Vislobokov. Flowered in cult 5 February 2018. Flowers dull green, rachis fleshy, dark dirty violet.
