Old secondary broad-leaved evergreen humid forest on wet very steep alluvial slopes based on solid, marble-like highly eroded limestone at elevation of 600–800 m a.s.l. Tree 4-6 m tall and to 30 cm in diameter near mountain top. Flowers yellow to yellow orange. Occasional.
