Bac Kan Province, Ba Be District, Cao Thuong Community, Ba Be National Park. Primary and old secondary evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep rocky slopes composed by white crystalline marble-like highly eroded limestone around point 22º27’20’’N 105º36’06’E at elevation of about 750 m a.s.l. Lithophytic and occasionally terrestrial herb on shady rocks along ridge edge above tall cliff. Flowers white, later pale yellow. Leaves with contrast silvery stripes. Locally very common.
