This is closest to M. unifoliolata, but different from the staminal tube (with 10 long teeth). This genus until now recorded only 4 species (2014). Ii is also closed to M. longipetiola described from Vietnam (2014) in Quang Ninh province, all other species of M. the staminal tube divided 2 o 3. This species not divided.
