Primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on steep mountain slopes composed with shale at elevation 800-1000 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb to 2 m tall on very steep shady rocky slope. Flowers light pink. Terrestrial herb with thick plagiotropic rhizome to 30 cm long and erect leaves to 0.8 m long in dark humid depression between shady cliffs in middle part of mountain slope.
