Flowered in April – May 2020. Herbarium prepared in 25.04.2020. Flowers odorless; tepals light, pale yellowish brown, lip light pink with light purple marks and light purple papillae at apex. L. Averyanov, AL 1183.3.1.

Herbarium prepared in 16.03 2020. Flowers outside white with purplw speckles at lobe apex, tube inside dark purple-brown to almost black, anther pale yellow, pistil dark perple-brown to almost black, stigma white. L. Averyanov, AL 396c.1.

Note: Sweet fragrant flowers (not so strong), lip 3-lobed, lateral lobes erect, front margin slightly erose, mid lobe apex sub-circular, at apex emarginate; lip at base with 5 erect keels, 2 most lateral keels short, 2 lateral middle extend to apex of mid lobe but lower than at base; the middle keel only extend to base of mid lobe also turn lower than at base.

Pholidota chinensis Lindl.

Thanh Hoa Province, Quan Son District, Son Ha Commune, Ban Ha Village, Pha Mo Mountain (Pha Mó), 18 April 2020, Truong Ba Vuong, BV 617 (voucher herbarium specimen – VNM).

Floral bract brown, longer than pedicel (with ovary) nearly over the flower. Sepals and petals greenish, labellum white, smaller size than normal form, hypochile saccate, not any keel.

Sepals and petals yellowish-green with 2 purple stripes, spur long, broad, white, slightly curved forward, contracted at apical part; labellum mid lobe pale yellow, has swollen callus, side lobes erect, white with pink stripe.

Flowering time Early of January.

Note. Two pure white flowers, labellum adaxially with 2 pairs of calli covered by finely brown hairs, upper callus pair larger raising, lower smaller and at labellum base. In middle of 2 upper callus there is one callus covered by densely yellow stiff hair run to margin of mid lobe. Margin of mid lobe covered by densely brown hairs, adaxial surface of mid lobe covered by white hairs.

S. Vietnam, Prov. Lam Dong, distr. Lac Duong, municipalite Da Chay, in 29-31 km to NNE from Dalat city. Old open secondary dry coniferous mt forest with domination of Pinus kesiya at 1550-1700 m alt. in 8-10 km from Bi Dup main peak to the W (N 12° 07', E 108° 36'). Epiphyte mostly on Lyonia and Lithocarpus. Tepals pale green, lip pale green with light pink tint, margin of sidelobes black-purple, column green, anther yellow. Not rare.

Northern Vietnam, Ha Giang Prov., Quan Ba Distr., Can Ty Municipality, in the vicinity of Sin Suoi Ho village at right side of Mien River, about 1 km to the N from point 23ø07'12''N, 105ø00'52''E. Primary coniferous forest with Pseudotsuga brevifolia on remnant highly eroded limestone ridge at elev. 1000-1200 m a.s.l. Terrestrial blue to blue-violet chlorophylless herb up to 20 cm tall on shady rocky slope. Rare.

tepals white with purple-violet tops, lip white with deep violet

center, purple-violet apex and purple-violet base, column green,

silver-white longitudinal stripes. Common.
