Epiphyte on mossy tall trees along rocky stream valley. Flowers with light sweet fragrance, tepals light olive-yellow, tips light violet, Lip deep purple-violet with yellow base and light olive-yellow apex. Not common.

Fl. in 24 June 2015. Vietnam, Quang Tri Prov., Huong Hoa Distr., Huong Phung Municipality, vicinities of Sa Mui pass, around point 16°48′36″N 106°34′44″E at elevation about 1400-1500 m a.s.l.
Primary broad-leaved evergreen montane cloudy forest along main ridge of Sa Mui Mountain.
Lithophytic and epiphytic herb on mossy trees on vertical open cliffs. Flowers white, lip brightly yellow. Not rare.
