Primary coniferous forest with Pinus cernua on very steep mountain slopes and cliffs composed by brown sandstone at elevation 1000-1050 m a.s.l. around point 20°42’14.2’’N 104°43’53.9’’E. Creeping epiphyte on mossy trees. Locally common.

Dry broad-leaved primary and secondary evergreen and semideciduous forest on very steep rocky slopes and on vertical cliffs of remnant highly eroded rocky limestone mountains composed by solid crystalline limestone at elevation 500-1000 m. Creeping epiphyte. Occasional.

Open secondary scrub after fire on flat sandy Pha Luong summit composed with eroded red-brown sandstone at elevation 1800-1850 m a.s.l. around point 20°40’23.0N 104°37’52.0E.

Undershrub 1-1.5 m tall in open rocky places. Occasional.

limestone ridge at 1200-1240 m elev. Lithophyte and epiphyte creeping

vine 0.5-1 m lg. Flowers dull yellowish pink-violet spotted. Abundant.

yellow with reddish marks, not smelled. Abundant.

Degraded primary coniferous forest with Pseudotsuga sinensis, Tsuga chinensis and Pinus sp. on very steep rocky slopes and along tops of narrow rocky remnant ridge composed with highly eroded marble-like limestone.

Creeping lithophyte and epiphyte on very steep rocky mossy slope. Flowers purple speckled. Not common.

Remnants of primary evergreen broad-leaved forest along tops of rocky ridges and mesae composed with light gray solid marble-like highly eroded crystalline limestone.

Creeping epiphyte and occasionally lithophyte. Flowers light pink-violet, lip purple-violet. Very common.

Primary evergreen broad-leaved and coniferous (with Dacrycarpus and Fokienia) wet forest along ridge edge composed with shale and sandstone at elevation about 900-1100 m a.s.l.

Creeping epiphyte in canopies of tall trees. Flowers very fragrant, yellowish with pink-purple tint, sepals with pink-purple stripes. Very common.

Primary closed evergreen broad-leaved and coniferous lowland forest (with Dacrydium elatum) along rocky ridge composed with solid marble-like highly eroded stratified crystalline limestone at elevation 550-650 m a.s.l. Creeping epiphyte on high tree (Quercus sp., Pittosporum sp., Myrsine seguinei, Osmanthus sp., Rutaceae, Dacrydium elatum, Aglaia sp., Knema sp.). Flowers whitish with pink tint and purple veins on tepals. Very common.

Heavily logged primary and secondary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest and scrub on rocky ridge composed with solid and stratified marble-like highly eroded crystalline limestone at elevation 550-650 m a.s.l.

Epiphyte (on Pistacia cucphuongensis, Memecylon sp., Quercus sp., Allospondias lakonensis, Choerospondias axillaris, Pometia pinnata, Aglaia sp., Pterospermum spp., Knema sp.) on high trees. Flowers with Amygdalus fragrance. Common.

Primary coniferous forest with Calocedrus rupestris, Callitropsis vietnamensis and Pseudotsuga sinensis on rocky highly eroded marble-like limestone remnant mountains.

Creeping epiphyte on very steep mossy rocky slope. Flowers white, sepals with purple stripes. petals white with yellow to greenish tint, lip light yellow to white with purple markings. Very common.
