Open primary mixed mossy semideciduous and coniferous forest along tops of limestone ridge at 650-700 m alt. Epiphyte. Flowers chestnut with yellowish-white lip. Common.

Broad-leaved (and former coniferous forest with Calocedrus rupestris) evergreen forest on steep slopes and on tops of ridge composed with rocky crystalline solid marble-like highly eroded limestone at elev. 900 m a.s.l.
Creeping lithophyte on shady rocky slope. Flowers white to yellowish, lip dirty violet. Very common.

Dendrobium sp nov. (D. loddigesii aff.)
N. Viet Nam. Ha Giang Province, Quang Ba District, at Sin Suoi Ho
village and river. Degraded agricultural land among limestone rocks to
ridgetop of exposed limestone under light canopy with many epiphytes
and lithophytes on north and east facing slopes, at 23°06′57″N,
105°01′48″E, at 514-900 m. Lithophytic. Stems green, some roots with
swollen parts, outer tepals very light pink, fringed tube white at
opening, yellow at base, rostellum light green, no scent. Rare.

Remnants of primary and secondary broad-leaved evergreen humid forest on very steep mountain slopes composed by shale and sandstone at elevation 1000-1400 m a.s.l. around point 20°40′33.3″N 104°39′00.3″E. Achlorophyllous dull light yellowish-pink tuberiferous herb on shady slope. Not common.
