Bulbophyllum penicillium C.S.P.Parish & Rchb.f.
Vietnam, Ha Giang Prov., Bac Me Distr., Phieng Luong Municipality, about 1.5 km to SW of Phieng Luong Municipality headquarter (22º39’29’’N, 105º19’35’’E).
Heavily logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest along rocky streamlet valley at the base of steep slopes of mountains composed with solid highly eroded crystalline and partially shale limestone at elev. about 900 m a.s.l.
Creeping epiphyte on tall tree. Flower buds greenish, sepals with brownish nerves. Rare.
Flowered in Hanoi Hiep garden at 19 March 2005. Flowers odorless, sepals light green with brown margin, petals brown with green marginal hairs, lip green-brown with deep brown hairs, column green with brown spots at the column foot, anther light yellow.
