Central Vietnam, Quang Tri Province, Dakrong District, Huong Hiep Commune, 16°48’23.1”N 106°49’44.9”E, 100-200 m a.s.l., populations were observed in the limestone mountains in association with Aspidistra sarcantha, Trigonostemon sp. and Arenga saccharifera Labill., 30 August 2020, Tuan Anh Le, LTA 416, voucher specimen at HN.

Broad-leaved evergreen wet secondary closed forest along rocky river valley and on river slopes. Creeping epiphyte on high trees. Rare.

Ha Giang prov., Quan Ba distr., Tung Vai commune, Thang village, around point 23º03ʹ04.2ʺN 104º51ʹ09.7ʺE, steep rocky slopes near mountain top composed with eroded stratified highly eroded limestone at elevation 1200-1450 m a.s.l. Primary evergreen broad-leaved very humid forest. Terrestrial and lithophytic creeping herb in shady rocky place. Leaves dark brown-purple. Not common. 24 April 2018, L. Secondary evergreen dry broad-leaved forest on steep rocky slopes of remnant mountain composed with highly eroded marble-like solid crystalline limestone at elevation about 300 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on tall tree. Very common.

Eiphyte on tall trees. Common.

Laos, Khammoune prov., Boualapha distr., Nong Seng village, Chanh Daeng mountain, around point 17°31'11.1"N, 105°46'41.4"E. Primary dry evergreen and semideciduous broad-leaved forest on very steep rocky slope near karstic hill top composed with solid, marble-like highly eroded limestone at 400-600 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on tall tree near mountain top. Tepals dull yellow, lip brown-purple. Not common. 11 May 2018, L. Averyanov, Khang Sinh Nguyen, T. Maisak, Littideth Xaiyavongsa, Siphanom Keovankham, AL 961.2.

Primary and secondary broad-leaved evergreen forest on very steep rocky mountain slopes composed by shaly limestone at elev. 1100-1200 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on tall trees. Flowers buds yellow. Locally very common.
