Moc Chau District; Long Luong Municipality; Sang Cai Village. Collections in primary, wet, broad-leaved, evergreen and semi-deciduous, mossy forest along limestone ridge situated between 1400-1500 m elevation.

20°45'51"N 104°51'26"E 1300 - 1500 m

Terrestrial herb on steep shady rocky slope. Flowers odorless, tepals light violet, lip white with violet tint,

white keels, column white. Rare.

Northern Vietnam, Lao Cai Prov., Van Ban Distr., Khanh Yen Ha

municipality, to the SW of Na Nheo village (in the vicinity of point

21ø57'59''N, 104ø14'06''E). Primary evergreen broad-leaved montane

forest with Fokienia hodginsii (as emergent) along granite and

quartzite slopes at elev. 1800 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb on steep

shady stream slope. Flowers from white to light lilac. Occasionally

common.

municipality, elevation from Na Nheo village to the S from 680 to

880 m a.s.l. (around point 21ø59'24''N, 104ø16'23''E). Primary

evergreen broad-leaved submontane forest on steep granite and

quartzite slopes at elev. 800-880 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb in shady

place. Flowers light violet-lilac. Not common.

Very steep rocky slopes of highly eroded marble-like solid remnant limestone mountains at elevation 600-700 m a.s.l.

Terrestrial and lithophytic herb on shady rocky slope. Flowers white. Locally very common.

Quang Binh Prov., Minh Hoa Distr., Thuong Hoa municipality, environs of Mo O O O village, around point 17°38’00.4”N 105°55’57.9”E, Kalap Mountain.

Primary mixed and coniferous forest (with Dacrydium elatum and Dacrycarpus imbricatus) on very steep rocky slope and on rocky top of remnant mountain composed with highly eroded solid crystalline limestone at elevation 750-800 m a.s.l.

Terrestrial herb on steep shady rocky slope near to mountain top. Flowers white, lip at the base light violet. Not rare.

Perennial terrestrial orchid. Flowers white.

Flowers yellowish, tepals with brownish nerves. Not common.

Primary broad-leaved evergreen closed forest on solid crystalline highly eroded limestone mountains at elev. about 600 m a.s.l. Creeping epiphyte on mossy trees on rocky top of remnant limestone mountains. Tepals dull greenish with dark brown stripes. Occasional.

Broad-leaved evergreen dry forest on steep slopes and on tops of ridge composed with rocky crystalline solid marble-like highly eroded limestone at elev. 900-1000 m a.s.l. Creeping epiphyte. Flowers greenish, sepals with brown-purple margin. Not common.
