Lithophyte on mossy boulders on very steep mossy rocky slope. Flowers white with light green spot at the center of epichile. Not common.

Creeping lithophyte on open mossy rocks. Sepals green-brown, petals white. lip with greenish central spot. Leaves dull green-silver-brownish. Locally very common.

Creeping epiphyte (Pometia pinnata, Dracontomelon duperreanum, Allospondias lakonensis, Choerospondias axillaris, Radermachera sinica, Pterospermum spp., Bischofia javanica, Ficus sp.) and lithophyte. Flower buds white. Tepals green, lip white with light yellow-green center. Rare.

800-1200 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on high tree canopy. Flowers odorless;
tepals dull yellow with purple nerves, lip with yellow epichile. Very
common. Usual co-dominant of epiphytic communities in high tree
canopies.

Vietnam, Quang Binh Prov., Minh Hoa Distr., Thuong Hoa Municipality, about 2 km to E of Ban On village (17°40′21′'N, 105°58′00E). Heavily logged primary and secondary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest and scrub on rocky ridge composed with solid and stratified marble-like highly eroded crystalline limestone at elevation 550-650 m a.s.l. Epiphyte (on Phyllanthus sp., Pistacia cucphuongensis, Memecylon sp., Quercus sp.) along tops of ridge. Common.

Secondary evergreen broadleaved closed forest on steep bluffs of remnant limestone ridges at 350-400 m alt. Epilite herb on vertical shadow cliffs of NW exposition. Leaves below purple-violet. Rare.

from Dong Hoi, municipalite Thong Hoa, vicinities of Yen Son village, limestone massif Ke Bang (N 17°40′ E 105°57′). Primary evergreen open broadleaved dry forest on top of limestone mesas at 500-550 m alt.
Epiphyte. Very common on tops of mesas at 500-600 m alt.

Submontane primary evergreen closed forest on very steep mountain slopes composed with stratified solid shale. Epiphyte on tall mossy trees on very steep shady mountain slope. Not rare.
