N.Vietnam, Bac Kan Prov., Cho Don Distr., Ban Thi Municipality, village Phia Khao, around point 22º16'58''N, 105º31'20''E at elevation 800-900 m a.s.l. (Lung Chang and Lung Li mountains). Primary broad-leaved evergreen closed and coniferous (with Pinus kwangtungensis) forest on very steep slopes and cliffs along tops of rocky ridge composed with solid marble-like stratified limestone. Lithophyte on wet travertine deposits on shady vertical cliff. Flowers: sepals light green, petals light green with deep violet marginal line, lip lemon yellow with light purple-violet apex, spur and column light green. Leaves light green, heavily brown-purple marked. Locally common.

Epilitic herb in crevices of open vertical limestone bluffs Leaves pale green with small numerous purple marks. Not rare.

Flowers: tepals dull yellowish with numerous reddish-purple marks, lip reddish-purple. Rare.

Primary broad-leaved closed wet forest on very steep rocky slopes and cliffs of low remnant mountains composed with highly eroded solid marble-like limestone at elevation 400-500 m a.s.l. Terrestrial creeping herb on mossy wet rocks in shady rocky valley of small stream. Flowers white, sepals with light greenish tint, lip at the center with small light yellowish spot. Very rare.
