Primary wet evergreen broadleaved closed forest on very steep slope of karst remnant limestone ridge at 1200-1300 m alt. Terrestrial forb on shady places. Leaves velvety green with median longitudinal silver stripe. Rare.

Epiphyte on tall trees near mountain top. Locally very common.

Terrestrial herb on shady rocky stream slope. Young fruits green, rachis fleshy, dirty violet. Occasional.

N. Tanaka: "As you wrote, the plant looks very close to Pel. densiflora. However, it differs by the more conic, brownish corona and pistil with (5-)6-angulated ovary (vs. rounded ovary) and somewhat thicker (broader) intercarpellary wings (protrusions) of which the distal part is longitudinally grooved (vs. narrower, simple wings with no longitudinal grooves). The intermediate forms between P. densiflora and your plant may be discovered in the future between the two localities, but at least at this moment, they appear to represent distinguishable entities".

Primary broad-leaved evergreen closed and coniferous (with Pinus kwangtungensis) forest on very steep slopes and cliffs along tops of rocky ridge composed with solid marble-like stratified limestone. Lithophytic and terrestrial herb among limestone shady rocks. Pseudobulbs cylindric to m 0.5 m tall and 6 cm in diamenter. Not common.

with purple tint along main nerves. Common.

Dry broad-leaved primary and secondary evergreen forest on very steep rocky slopes and on vertical cliffs of remnant highly eroded rocky limestone mountains composed by solid crystalline limestone at elevation 300-400 m. Creeping epiphytic and lithophytic succulent vine to 15 m long on very steep rocky slope. Leaves fleshy, glossy, to 35 cm long and 15 cm wide. Locally very common.

Heavily logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest on slopes and tops of mountains composed with solid highly eroded crystalline limestone at elev. about 900-1150 m a.s.l. Lithophytic and epiphytic creeping succulent vine up to 10 m long. Flower buds light greenish. Locally common.

In slightly logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved lowland forest with the dominance of species of Dipterocarpaceae (Dipterocarpus dyeri, D. costatus, D. alatus, D. obtusifolius, Shorea sp.) mixed with Lagerstroemia calyculata, Irvingia malayana, Anogeissus acuminata, Sindora siamensis, Pterospermum sp., on thin soils at elevation about 13 m a.s.l.

Epiphyte on shady places. Not common.

Flowers odorless; sepals, petals and lip light, pale yellowish-green; lip inside with bright red nerves, epichile green, papillae, appendages, column and anther white.

Canopy epiphyte on small trees and shrubs along stream. Very common.
