Lithophytic and epiphytic herb on shady steep rocky slope. Abundant.

Epiphyte at the base of mossy old tree stem on vertical cliff of N exposition near ridge top. Very rare.

Lithophytic herb on high open vertical granite/quartzite mossy cliff of E exposition cowered with pillows of Sphagnum. Flowers regularly pink, lip white, pinkish with yellow, brown or purple spots. Sometimes flowers white or deep pink-purple. Lip sometimes with deep yellow center. Rare, but occasionally in very large colonies.

S. Viet Nam. Kon Tum Province, Kon Plong District, Hieu Municipality, Mang La forest enterprise station (14ø40'37"N, 108ø23'52"E). Collections along trail in forest enterprise at elev. 1057-1220 m. Terrestrial at base of Foikenia. Young fruits green. Rare.

Vietnam, Ha Giang Prov., Bac Me Distr., Phieng Luong Municipality, about 1.5 km to SW of Phieng Luong Municipality headquarter (22°39′29″N, 105°19′35″E). Heavily logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest along rocky streamlet valley at the base of steep slopes of mountains composed with solid highly eroded crystalline and partially shale limestone at elev. about 900 m a.s.l. Epiphytic herb in shady places on mossy trees. Common.

Nghe An Prov., Ky Son Distr., Na Ngoi Municipality, eastern slopes of Phu Xai Lai Leng Mountain. Primary and secondary broad-leaved forest on steep mountain slopes composed of sandstone and gray shale at elevation 1300-2000 m a.s.l. around point 19°12′54″N 104°12′01″E. Lithophytic tuberiferous herb on mossy rocks. Rare.

Highly destroyed primary and secondary broadleaved evergreen forest on very steep mountain slopes with granite mother rocks at elev. 1200-1500 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb on very step mossy slope. Locally common.

S. Vietnam, Prov. Kon Tum, Distr. Dak Gley, about 10-12 km to the SE of Dak Gley town (4-6 km to the E of Dak Tung village). Open mixed forest with domination of Pinus khesya, P. dalatensis and Lyonia ovalifolia on top of ridges at 1400-1500 m alt. in Ngoc Mi mountain system. Epiphyte and epilite. Abundant.
