Secondary broad-leaved evergreen open dry forest with bamboo on very steep rocky mountain slopes composed by shaly limestone at elev. 700-900 m a.s.l.

Pendulous epiphyte with shoots to 1.2 m long on tall tree. Flowers yellowish, tepals with brownish spots. Lip white. Not common.

Cultivated plant originated from Dak Lak prov., Ea Sup, Yok Don national park, dry dipterocarp forest collected by Mr Hiep in 2015. Flowers pale dull yellowish, sepals and petals with unclear brownish marks, epichile white.

In slightly logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved lowland forest with the dominance of species of Dipterocarpaceae (Dipterocarpus dyeri, D. costatus, D. alatus, D. obtusifolius, Shorea sp.) mixed with Lagerstroemia calyculata, Irvingia malayana, Anogeissus acuminata, Sindora siamensis, Pterospermum sp., on thin soils at elevation about 13 m a.s.l.

Epiphyte on tall tree. Tepals in old flowers white, lip yellow. Rare.

Epiphyte in shady place. Flowers yellowish, lip side-lobes with reddish-brown stripes, lip at the center inside with brown hairy callus. Not common.

N. Vietnam, prov. Lai Chau, distr. Sin Ho, municipality Ta Ngau about 30 km of Lai Chau town to the N (N 22º18' E 103º15'). Secondary open wet mossy evergreen broadleaved forest with remnants of primary elements on rocky foothills of remnant karst limestone ridge at elev. about 1600 m. Lithophyte forb up to 1 m hg on open mossy limestone rock outcrops. Flowers odorless, white; lip with yellow center and purple veins on sidelobes. Locally common.

S. Vietnam, Prov. Kon Tum, Distr. Dak Gley, about 12 km to N of Dak Gley town (24 km by road), near Mang Khen village. Secondary evergreen mountain forest rich in primary elements at 1000-1100 m alt. Epiphyte. Flowers white-yellowish, lip with purple center and purple veins. Rare.

Vietnam, Quang Tri Prov., Huong Hoa Distr., Huong Phung Municipality, vicinities of Sa Mui pass, around point 16°48′36″N 106°34′44″E at elevation about 1400-1500 m a.s.l. Primary broad-leaved evergreen montane cloudy forest along main ridge of Sa Mui Mountain. Epiphyte on mossy trees near top of mountain. Rare.

Hoa Binh Prov., Lac Son Distr., Ngoc Son Municipality, Khu village, around point 20°26′31”N 105°19′32”E. Primary broadleaved forest on steep rocky slopes of remnant mountain composed with solid crystalline highly eroded limestone at elevation about 550-650 m a.s.l. Canopy epiphyte on old trees on top of ridge. Flower white to light yellowish. Rare.
