Primary broad-leaved forest on very steep slopes and rocky cliffs of remnant mountain composed with solid marble-like highly eroded limestone at elevation 400-700 m a.s.l. Terrestrial creeping herb with ascending floriferous stem to 20 cm tall.eaves light green with broad median whitish stripe. Occasional.

Lowland closed secondary old evergreen forest on steep slopes along rocky stream valley composed with stratified solid shale and sandstone. Terrestrial and lithophytic creeping herb along steep rocky shady stream slopes. Sepals greenish, petal and lip white, lip with two brownish spots on epichile. Leaves light green with broad silver median stripe. Occasional.

Terrestrial herb on shady steep slope. Sepals light brownish-green, lip white with light brown-greenish central spot. Leaves with whitish broad central stripe. Not common.

Remnants of primary broad-leaved evergreen lowland forest on rocky remnant highly eroded solid marble-like limestone hills and low mountains with very steep slopes and vertical cliffs. Terrestrial creeping herb up to 40 cm tall in shady place. Flowers yellow. Rare.

Primary and secondary broad-leaved evergreen submontane forest on shale mountains. Lithophytic and terrestrial creeping herb on rocky cliffs along rocky shady stream valley. Sepals olive-green at base, light dull pinkish at apex, petals and lip pure white. Occasional.

Leaves uniform green. Very common.

Slightly logged primary closed broad-leaved evergreen forest on steep slopes of mountains composed with shale and sandstone along stream canyon. Creeping terrestrial and lithophytic herb in shady rocky slope. Flowers white, later yellowish. Very common.

N. Viet Nam, Lao Cai Prov., Van ban Distr., Liem Phu Municipality, Khuoi Ngoa village. Disturbed secondary vegetation in deep shade and wet conditions on ridge lower slopes elevating to nearly 1050 m, around point 21°59′31″N, 104°19′10″E. Creeping epiphytic vine to 15 m, stems tan. Calyx tan with pink lobes, flowers pink, leaves shiny light green above, fruit light green to yellow-orange.

Secondary open evergreen broad-leaved forest and secondary woodlands on very steep mountain slopes and cliffs composed predominantly with weathered granite at elev. about 1700-1900 m a.s.l. Creeping herb on very steep shady rocky slope. Leaves dark green with median silver stripe. Locally common.

Primary closed coniferous forest (with Calocedrus rupestris) on steep slopes and on tops of rocky ridge composed with solid marble-like highly eroded stratified crystalline limestone at elevation about 750-900 m a.s.l. Creeping lithophytic herb with uniform green leaves. Flowers white. Not common.
