Vietnam, Quang Binh Prov., Minh Hoa Distr., Dan Hoa municipality, Giang Man Mountain, Vietnam-Laotian border, about 6 km to N of Cha Lo borders station, around point 17º41’09’’N 105º45’54’’E. Coniferous primary forest with Dacrydium and Fokienia along ridge edge composed with brown shale at elevation 1000-1100 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on tall tree. Flowers light yellowish, lip with orange center. Not common.

Primary evergreen broad-leaved forest on steep slopes and bluffs of remnant karst limestone ridge at 1400 m elev. Epiphyte in open places. Flowers: tepals yellowish-white, lip yellowish-white, base of epichile orange-pink with white hairs, tips of lip sides pink-orange. Rare.

Highly destroyed primary dry evergreen broad-leaved forest along tops of hill ridge composed with shale at elevation 1250-1400 m a.s.l.

Epiphyte on old mossy trees. Tepals white to light yellowish, lip orange with white apex. Abundant.

Remnants of primary evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep rocky slopes and on tops of remnant mountain composed with highly eroded marble-like solid crystalline limestone at elevation 1150-1250 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on old mossy trees near top of ridge. Not rare.

Lao Cai Prov., Sa Pa Distr., slopes of Hoang Lien Son Range in vicinities of Sa Pa town. Evergreen broad-leaved montane forest on very steep mountain slopes at elevation about 1500-1800 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on tall mossy trees. Flowers white, tips of tepals and lip light violet-purple, lip with bright yellow center and two large dark maroon spots at the base, column light green, anther white. Locally common.

Vientiane Prov., Kasi Distr., Thong Mout village, Pudang Ridge, around point 19°23’33.7”N 102°08’05.7”E. Remnants of primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on mountain tops composed with shale at elevation 1950-2000 m. Clustering epiphyte on tall mossy trees. Flowers white, apex of tepals purple, lip with purple apex, large yellow spot at center and with 2 dark brown-purple spots at base. Not common.

Fractionally logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest along steep stream slopes composed with shale with quartzite.

Epiphyte on tall trees. Tepals whitye to yellowish with light greenish nerves, lip yellow-brown with three deep brown median keels. Occasional.

Primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep mountain slopes composed with shale, sandstone and granite at elevation 700-800 m a.s.l.

Epiphyte on tall trees. Tepals light green-brownish, Lip dull olive-brown with three deep brown median longitudinal stripes. Occasional.

Remnants of primary and secondary dry broadleaved evergreen forest on rocky sandy uplifted plateau composed with eroded sandstone at elev. about 600-650 m a.s.l.

Epiphyte on old tree along rocky plateau cliff. Tepals white to light yellowish, lip light brown with 3 dark brown keels, column white, anther light green. Not common.
