Terrestrial achlorophyllous erect herb up to 25 cm tall along ridge. Flowers odorless, white, lip with gray-brown spotted basal callus, below with yellow-brown spot. Rare.

Open dry evegreen forest on cliffs at 600-700 m alt. on NE slope of Bi Dup mountain system, near 5-6 km to W of Khanh Le village on Lieng Ly river (near 15 km to W of Cau Ba village). Ephemeroid herb in dry forest. Flowers white with yellowish lip with small brownish papillae. Very rare.

Terrestrial achlorophyllous saprophyte on very steep rocky slope along waterfall cliff. Flowers white, lip at face with callus with finest gray marks, behind with large orange-brown central spot. Rare.

Didymoplexiella denticulata Aver., sp.nov. Paratype

Vietnam, Quang Binh Prov., Quang Ninh Distr., Truong Son municipality, around Chan Trong village at 17º10’49’’N 106º29’22’’E. Secondary dry broad-leaved forest on tops and steep slopes of highly eroded karst limestone mountain composed with gray solid marble limestone allied to Long Dai River, at elevation 300-400 m a.s.l. Terrestrial achlorophyllous dull gray-brownish saprophyte. Flowers light violet. Not rare.

Old secondary broad-leaved closed forest on steep shale slopes of Khe Nuoc Trong River at elevation 150-200 m a.s.l. Terrestrial achlorophyllous herb on steep shady slope. Flowers light violet-brown, lip light violet with white apex, column white. Not common.

Didymoplexiella siamensis (Rolfe) Seidenf.

N. Vietnam, Tuyen Quang prov., Na Hang distr., Xuan Tam municipality, near Ban Cai village (22º29'18''N, 105º19'47''E). Primary broad-leaved evergreen dry forest on very steep slopes of highly eroded remnant limestone ridge at elev. 450-500 m a.s.l. Terrestrial tuberiferous saprophyte in dry steep slope with bamboo. Flowers with strong, very pleasant fragrance, tepals light purple-violet, column white. Rare.

Didymoplexiopsis vietnamensis Ormerod

Hoa Binh Prov., Lac Son Distr., Tu Do Municipality, Mon village, around point 20°24’52”N 105°19’41”E. Secondary evergreen dry broad-leaved forest on steep rocky slopes of remnant mountain composed with highly eroded marble-like solid crystalline limestone at elevation about 300 m a.s.l. Achlorophyllous herb on rocky slope. Flowers white, Lip with yellow spot. Very rare.
