N. Viet Nam. Ha Giang Province, Quang Ba District, at Sin Suoi Ho

village on east side of Sin Suoi Ho river. Degraded forest along north

ridge slope. Limestone substrate and exposed rock outcrops at elev.

about 1000-1100 m. 23ø06'57''N, 105ø01'48''E. Occasional on vertical

tree trunks. Outer tepals pale green inside, labellum light green

outside, red-purple inside, rostellum light green.

Ha Giang Prov., Quan Ba Distr., Can Ty municipality, Bat Dai Son NR, at right side of Mien River, around point 230 05’ 29’’ N , 1050 01’ 06’’ E, Primary coniferous forest with Pseudotsuga brevifolia, Xanthocyparis vietnamensis, Calocedrus rupestris on remnant highly eroded limestone ridge at elev. 1000-1200 m a.s.l. common. Herb epiphyte on tree or lithophyte.

N. Viet Nam. Ha Giang Province, Quang Ba District, Bat dai Son.

Primary forest on limestone with Biota sp., Fraxinus, Quercus,

Pseudotsuga, Acer and Taxus dominants along ridge and below peak at

elev. 1100-1200 m (about 23ø07'N 105ø02'E). Lithophytic and epiphytic.

Outer tepals tomentose outside, pale green inside, labellum light

green outside, red-purple inside, rostellum light green. Occasional.

Vietnam, Binh Phuoc Prov., Phuoc Long Distr., Bu Gia Map Municipality, steep hill slopes along Dak Huit river valley, around point 12º16’11’’N 107º09’25’’E at elev. about 350-400 m a.s.l. Primary closed evergreen and semi deciduous broad-leaved lowland dry forest and open woodlands on basalt and shale mother rocks. Epiphyte on tall trees. Flowers white, lip white, center with two reddish keels. Common.

N. Vietnam, Son La prov., Moc Chau distr., Van Ho municipality, near

Hua Tat village (20ø46'13''N, 104ø46'12''E). Primary broad-leaved

evergreen closed wet forest along remnant limestone highly eroded

ridge at elev. 1100-1300 m a.s.l. Lithophyte on vertical cliff of N

exposition. Flowers light greenish-yellow, lip at center with light

pink-violet keels. Locally abundant.

Hoa Binh Prov., Tan Lac Distr., Ngo Luong municipality, Bo village., 20°29′18”N 105°15′43”E. In heavily logged evergreen broad-leaved forests on ridges of limestone mts., at elevation about 800-850 m a.s.l. Lithophyte. Flowers greenish. Occasional to common.

Primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on rocky limestone at elevation 800-1000 m a.s.l. around point 20°01′11.6″N 104°57′47.5″E.

Creeping lithophytic herb on shady limestone cliffs. Not common.

Vietnam, Ha Giang Prov., Bac Me Distr., Phieng Luong Municipality, about 1.5 km to SW of Phieng Luong Municipality headquarter (22º39’29’’N, 105º19’35’’E).

Heavily logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest along rocky streamlet valley at the base of steep slopes of mountains composed with solid highly eroded crystalline and partially shale limestone at elev. about 900 m a.s.l.

Epiphytic herb in shady places on mossy trees. Flowers light yellowish-green, lip from light green to violet. Very common.

Slightly logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest on slopes of remnant mountains composed with solid highly eroded crystalline and partially shale limestone at elev. about 1200 m a.s.l.

Creeping epiphyte. Flowers light yellowish-green, lip with violet tint. Rare.
