Remnants of primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on mountain tops composed with shale at elevation 1950-2000 m. Clustering epiphyte on tall mossy trees. Floral bracts yellow, flowers white, apex of lip dark purple. Occasional.

Saravan Prov., Sa Mouay Distr., to the SEE of Sa Mouay town, elevation from Ta Oy village (700 m elev.) to mountain ridge with highest point at 1350 m around 16°08’47.0”N 106°52’35.4”E. Primary evergreen humid mixed and coniferous forest on slopes composed with silicate rocks. Epiphyte on tall trees on tops of ridge. Flower bracts yellow, flowers white, lip apex margin – light purple. Not common.

Primary closed evergreen and semi deciduous broad-leaved lowland dry forest and open woodlands on basalt and shale mother rocks.

Creeping epiphytic vine on tall trees. Tepals olive green, Lip white with brightly red apex, anther yellow. Not common.

Primary evergreen broad-leaved wet forest on very steep mountain slopes and cliffs composed with shale and sandstone at elevation about 600-700 m a.s.l. Creeping epiphyte in canopies of tall trees. Flowers yellow, lip yellow-pinkish. Very common.

Epiphyte on high tree on middle part of slope of N exposition. Flowers yellow-orange. Occasional.

Adpressed lithophyte and occasionally epiphyte. Abundant around top of mountain.

Lithophyte on mossy exposed rocks. Flower buds white. Very common.

Epiphyte on mossy tree. Flowers white, margin of sepals purple. Very common.

Creeping lithophytic and epiphytic herb on the mountain top. Flowers white, sometime with yellowish or pink tint. Not common.

Primary broad-leaved closed wet forest on very steep rocky slopes and cliffs of low remnant mountains composed with highly eroded solid marble-like limestone at elevation 400-600 m a.s.l. Creeping lithophytic herb on mossy boulders and cliffs near rocky top of limestone ridge. Flowers white, lip white with purple marks. Very common.

Creeping lithophyte and epiphyte (Calocedrus rupestris, Podocarpus neriifolius). Very common.

Primary closed evergreen broad-leaved gnarled stunted forest along rocky ridge composed with solid marble-like highly eroded crystalline limestone at elevation 600-800 m a.s.l.

Lithophytic and epiphytic (Phyllanthus sp., Nageia fleuryi, Pistacia cucphuongensis, Memecylon sp., Alstonia guangxiensis, Garcinia sp., Quercus sp.)creeping herb. Flowers white, lip with reddish-purple keels. Very common.

vicinities of Ta Phinh village (N 22ø44' E 105ø50'). Primary open

semideciduous mixed mossy forest (with Pseudotsuga brevifolia, Tsuga

chinensis and Pinus kwangtungensis) along tops of remnant karst

limestone ridge at 1350-1400 m elev. Epiphyte and lithophyte. Flowers:

tepals outside brownish-purple, inside yellowish with purple tint, lip

brownish-purple with whitish base, whitish keels and yellow epichile.

Abundant.
