Remnants of primary humid evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep slope of remnant hill composed with highly eroded marble-like solid crystalline limestone at elevation about 1250 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on mossy tree near top of ridge. Flowers white, lip with 2 yellow spots. Not common.

Remnants of primary evergreen broad-leaved forest on very steep rocky slopes and on tops of remnant mountain composed with highly eroded marble-like solid crystalline limestone at elevation 1150-1250 m a.s.l. Creeping lithophytic herb on vertical mossy cliff. Flowers light yellowish, lip with 2 yellow spots. Not common.

Primary closed broadleaved cloud forest along Nui Hon Giao ridge at 1900 m alt. (N 12° 11′, E 108° 43′). Epiphyte on high trees. Flowers white. Not common.

Panisea albiflora (Ridl.) Seidenf. ?

Vietnam, Quang Binh Prov., Bo Trach Distr., Tan Trach Municipality, about 0.5 km to E of A Rem village (17º23'32''N, 106º12'46''E). Primary closed coniferous forest (with Calocedrus rupestris) on steep slopes and on tops of rocky ridge composed with solid marble-like highly eroded solid crystalline limestone at elevation about 750-850 m a.s.l. Epiphyte (Calocedrus rupestris, Podocarpus neriifolius) on top of ridge. Very common, particularly on Calocedrus.

Vietnam, Dak Lac Prov., Krong Bong Distr., Cu Pui Municipality, elevation from Dak Tour village (12°30′N, 108°30′E) to main peak of Chu Yang Sinh mt system (12°24′N, 108°26′E) along Dak Tour river (N slope). Primary mossy cloud mixed forest (with Pinus, Fokienia, Dacrydium and Dacrycarpus) on very steep granite slopes at elev. 2440 m. Epiphyte on mossy trees in short tall forest on the top of main ridge. Flowers white. Very common.

Primary mossy coniferous forest with Tsuga sinensis on tops of high rocky ridge composed with highly eroded marble-like limestone. Epiphyte and lithophyte on steep rocky slope. Flowers white, column and anther pink-brownish. Occasional.

Secondary evergreen dry broad-leaved forest on steep rocky slopes of remnant mountain composed with highly eroded marble-like solid crystalline limestone at elevation about 300 m a.s.l. Clustering epiphyte on tall tree. Tepals whitish, epichile yellow. Very common.

Mixed and broad-leaved evergreen dry secondary mt forest on very steep shale/sandstone slopes. Terrestrial creeping herb about 20 cm tall on shady stream slope. Flowers: lateral sepals light green, median sepal and lateral petals dull light brownish-pink, Lip pure white. Leaves uniform green. Rare.

S. Vietnam, Prov. Kon Tum, Distr. Dak Gley, about 15-18 km to NW of Dak Gley town, between Mang Khen (Dak Che) and Dak Polo villages, near Laos boundary. Primary evergreen mountain forest at 1250-1450 m alt. Terrestrial herb up to 0.3 m high. Leaves 6-7 x 4-5 cm, pure green. Flowers : petals brownish, sepals and lip white, opercilum purple. In very deep wet canyon along stream. Very rare.

Vietnam, Dak Nong Prov., Dak Glong Distr., Dak Plao Municipality, steep mountain slopes of Ta Dung mountain system at elevation about 1250 m a.s.l. around point 11º52’30’’N 108º01’12’’E. Primary broad-leaved evergreen closed wet forest on SW slopes composed with crystalline highly metamorphosed sandstone. Terrestrial and lithophytic creeping herb along shady rocky stream valley. Leaves uniform dark green. Sepals pinkish-brown, sepals and lip white. Rare.

Terrestrial chlorophyll less brownish-pink saprophyte in shadow steep slope of stream canyon. Sepals olive-brownish, petals whitish, lip white, anther white. Very rare.

Vietnam, Thua Thien – Hue Prov., Huong Thuy Distr., Duong Hoa Municipality, Huong Thuy forest enterprise territory, around point 16°12′55′'N, 107°35′35′'E, SW slopes of Mang Chan ridge at elevation about 450 m a.s.l. Fractionally logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest along steep slopes composed with shale with quartzite. Achlorophyllous ground tuberiferous yellowish-brown saprophyte. Sepals olive-brown. Lip white. Very rare.
