Ha Giang Prov., Bac Me Distr., Phieng Luong municipality, around Phieng Day village. Degraded primary broad-leaved humid evergreen forest along rocky canyon of small stream at the base of mountains composed with solid crystalline highly eroded limestone at elevation 900-1000 m a.s.l. around point 22°38’43.8’’N 105°19’19.8’’E. Clustering epiphyte on old mossy trees. Not rare.

S. Vietnam, Prov. Lam Dong, distr. Lac Duong, municipalite Da Chay, 26-28 km to NE from Dalat city. Old open secondary dry coniferous mt forest with domination of Pinus kesiya at 1500-1700 m alt. in 8-10 km from Bi Dup main peak to the NW (N 12° 07′, E 108° 36′). Epiphyte on mossy trees, mostly on Lithocarpus and Lyonia. Flowers pinkish-white, lip with yellow-pink center. Not common, but occasionally abundant.

N. Vietnam, prov. Ha Giang, distr. Yen Minh, municipality Lao Va Chai, vicinities of Ngan Chai village, 6 km to W of Yen Minh town (N 23ø07' E 105ø08'). Primary evergreen wet mossy mixed forest (with domination of Tsuga chinensis and Pinus kwangtungensis) along tops of karst remnant limestone ridge at 1500-1600 m elev. Lithophyte creeping herb on open mossy rock outcrops. Flowers: tepals and lip white, column white, anther reddish-orange. Abundant.

Remnants of primary coniferous forest with Pseudotsuga sinensis on tops of high rocky remnant ridge composed with highly eroded marble-like limestone. Creeping lithophyte on very steep mossy rocky slope. Flowers light pink, lip with yellow center on epichile. Common.

Northern Vietnam, Ha Giang Prov., Quan Ba Distr., Can Ty Municipality, in the vicinity of Sin Suoi Ho village at right side of Mien River, around point 23ø07'12''N, 105ø00'52''E. Primary coniferous forest with Pseudotsuga brevifolia on remnant highly eroded limestone ridge at elev. 1000-1200 m a.s.l. Lithophytic herb on steep open mossy rocky slopes. Flowers white, light yellowish, lip with reddish-orange center. Very common.

Vietnam, Ha Giang Prov., Quan Ba Distr, about 2 km to the NE of Quan Ba town, around point 23º05’49’’N, 105º01’00’’E at elevation about 1150 m a.s.l. Primary coniferous forest with Calocedrus rupestris, Callitropsis vietnamensis and Pseudotsuga sinensis on rocky highly eroded marble-like limestone remnant mountains. Lithophytic herb on shady wet mossy slope. Flowers white, lip with yellow spot at the center. Very common. Dominant of lithophytic herb communities.

Lithophytic herb on vertical shady cliffs. Flowers white, lip with yellowish-lemon central spot. Very common.

Lithophytic herb on shady mossy vertical cliffs along mountain tops. Flowers pure white. Very common.

Flowers dull yellow-orange. Not common.

Vietnam, Binh Phuoc Prov., Phuoc Long Distr., Bu Gia Map Municipality, along Dak Bo stream, around point 12°16′17″N 107°11′30″E at elev. about 300-350 m a.s.l.

Primary and secondary closed evergreen and semi deciduous broad-leaved lowland dry forest and open woodlands on hill slopes on basalt and shale mother rocks.

Epiphyte. Very common. Locally abundant, co-dominant in epiphytic communities in the area.

Vietnam, Thua Thien – Hue Prov., Nam Dong Distr., Huong Son Municipality, around point 16°09'52''N, 107°36'22''E (around plot 16°09'36''N, 107°36'10''E). Heavily logged primary closed broad-leaved evergreen lowland forest along La Ma River on very steep hill slopes composed with clayey shale at elevation about 300-450 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on tall mossy trees along stream. Flowers white with yellowish tint, lip epichile with brown margin. Very common.

Rich secondary broadleaved evergreen forest on very steep rocky slopes and cliffs composed with eroded sandstone at elev. 400-500 m a.s.l. Lithophytic herb on large shady mossy boulders on very steep humid rocky slope. Flowers white with light yellowish tint, lip with brown spot at the middle. Not common.

Primary mixed and coniferous forest (with Dacrydium elatum and Dacrycarpus imbricatus) on very steep rocky slope and on rocky top of remnant mountain composed with highly eroded solid crystalline limestone at elevation 750-800 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on steep shady rocky slope near to mountain top. Flowers white. Occasional.
