Renanthera coccinea Lour.

Vietnam, Quang Binh Prov., Minh Hoa Distr., Dan Hoa municipality, Vietnam-Laotian border, about 3 km to S of Bai Dinh village, around point 17º44’46’’N 105º46’28’’E. Primary and secondary broad-leaved evergreen forest on very steep slopes and on tops on remnant hills composed with highly eroded solid crystalline marble-like gray limestone at elevation 350-450 m a.s.l. Creeping epiphytic and lithophytic vine to 10 m long. Flowers brightly red. Common.

Renanthera citrina Aver.

N. Vietnam, Prov. Cao Bang, distr. Tra Linh, municipalite Quoc Toan, vicinity of Thang Heng and Lung Tao villages near Thang Heng lake. Open dry primary mixed forest with domination of Keteleeria fortunei on tops of limestone mesas and ridges at 650-900 m alt. Epiphytic shrublet with pendant shoots up to 1 m lg near and on tops of mesas. Flowers lemon-yellow, tepals usually with few crimson marks or pure yellow. Not rare, sometimes abundant.

Dak Lak province near border with Khanh Hoa province, Chu Mu Mt., evergreen forest at elevation 1100–1400 m a.s.l., locally common, 19 October 2017, N.V. Canh, AL 341a. Living plant.

Phorto made in 17 04 2021. Flowers odorless; dorsal sepal and synsepalum greenish with dark olive center and white margin at apex; petals pale yellow green at base, light purple violet in apical half, with many glossy dark brown warts at basal half; lip brown; staminode brown with yellowish green margin; column light green. L. Averyanov AL 341a.1.

Cao Bang Prov., Bao Lac Distr., Hong An municipality, Mi Lung village. Primary broad-leaved and mixed humid evergreen forest on very steep slopes and along rocky ridge composed with solid crystalline highly eroded limestone at elevation 1500-1550 m a.s.l. around point 22°50′01.3″N 105°50′05.7″E. Lithophytic and occasionally terrestrial rosulate herb on very steep mossy rocky slope and cliffs near mountain tops. Leaves dark green to dark green / white tessellated. Occasional.

Son La Prov., Moc Chau Distr., Chieng Son comm., about 1 km to NE from Chieng Son Village, around point 20°46’02.0N 104°37’03.1E. Remnants of primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on tops of hills composed with karstic highly eroded yellow-white limestone at elevation 1150-1250 m a.s.l. Lithophytic and epiphytic fern on exposed mossy rocks. Very common.

Rare.

Convallariaceae

Gia Lai Province, Kon Ka Kinh National Park, alt. 1000 m, 14o13.229N 108o18.992E. Flower with slightly unpleasant smell, stem erect flower single, flower shape sub-globose, with 6 small triangular, acute lobes, stamens sessile, stigma with 12 longitudinal ridges (6 large and 6 small).
