In slightly logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved lowland forest with the dominance of species of Dipterocarpaceae (Dipterocarpus dyeri, D. costatus, D. alatus, D. obtusifolius, Shorea sp.) mixed with Lagerstroemia calyculata, Irvingia malayana, Anogeissus acuminata, Sindora siamensis, Pterospermum sp., on thin soils at elevation about 13 m a.s.l.
Epiphyte on tall tree. Tepals in old flowers white, lip yellow. Rare.

Vientiane Prov., Kasi Distr., Namken village, Phachao Mt., around point 19°18’45.5”N 102°22’31.4”E. Primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on very steep rocky slopes of remnant mountain composed with highly eroded solid crystalline limestone at elevations 1500-1750 m. Lithophytic rosulate herb adpressed on shady vertical cliffs. Leaves dark/light green tessellated above, dirty purple-brown spotted below. Common at elev. 1600 to mountain top.

Son La Prov., Van Ho Distr., Van Ho comm., Hua Tat village, around point 20°46′21.7N 104°47′47.5E. Remnants of primary evergreen broad-leaved and mixed forest (with Pinus wangii) on very steep rocky slopes and on mountain tops composed with highly eroded karstic light gray marble-like limestone at elevation 1300-1350 m a.s.l. Terrestrial creeping herb with dull uniform green leaves.
