Primary dry evergreen and semideciduous broad-leaved forest on very steep rocky slope near karstic hill top composed with solid, marble-like highly eroded limestone at 400-600 m a.s.l. Flowered in horto 17 06 2021, Averyanov L., T. Maisak. VR 1383. Flowers pale light violet, inside tube yellowish, pistil light greenish.

Primary evergreen mixed and coniferous dense wind-formed forest at elev. 1000-1400 m a.s.l.

Epiphyte on mossy tree on mountain top. Common.

Flowered in 22 06 2021, L. Averyanov, AL 681, Median sepal, lip and petals reddish-violet spotted, lateral sepals reddish-brown.

Border area between Phieng Luong municipality (Ha Giang Prov., Bac Me Distr.) and Sinh Long municipalitiy (Tuen Quang Prov., Na Hang Distr.). Primary broad-leaved humid evergreen and mixed forest on very steep slopes and along rocky ridge composed with solid crystalline highly eroded limestone at elevation 1100-1170 m a.s.l. around point 22°38’24.3’’N 105°20’21.3’’E. Epiphyte on old mossy tree. Not common.

Lai Chau Prov., Phong Tho Distr., Sin Suoi Ho Municipality, Sa Ma Pho village, around point 22°33’21’’N 103°34’29’’E. Secondary evergreen broad-leaved wet closed forest with bamboo on very steep mountain slopes and along ridges composed predominantly with weathered granite at elev. about 1900-2050 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb on shady rocky slope. Flowers light dull yellowish. Fruits blue, juicy. Locally very common.

Lip with 2 glabrous, inconspicuous keels from base raise high up to entire lamellae when over base of mid lobe then extend to nearly apex of mid lobe.
