Quang Binh Prov., Minh Hoa Distr., Dan Hoa Municipality, to the EEN of Bai Dinh village around point 17°45’27”N 105°47’46”E. Primary broad-leaved closed wet forest on very steep rocky slopes and cliffs of low remnant mountains composed with highly eroded solid marble-like limestone at elevation about 600-700 m a.s.l. Terrestrial herb to 0.6 m tall on shale alluvial steep slope. Flowers light blue-violet. Not common.

Lao Cai Prov., Sa Pa Distr., slopes of Hoang Lien Son Range in vicinities of Sa Pa town. Evergreen broad-leaved montane forest on very steep mountain slopes at elevation about 1500-1800 m a.s.l. Erect terrestrial herb in humid shady place. Very rare.

Vietnam, Thua Thien – Hue Prov., Huong Thuy Distr., Duong Hoa Municipality, Huong Thuy forest enterprise territory, around point 16°13'20''N, 107°34'23''E, SW slopes of Mang Chan ridge at elevation 500-600 m a.s.l. Fractionally logged primary closed evergreen broad-leaved forest along steep slopes composed with shale. Terrestrial herb on shady wet slopes along stream. Flowers white. Very common.

Vietnam, Thua Thien – Hue Prov., Nam Dong Distr., Huong Son Municipality, around point 16°09'58''N, 107°36'07''E. Fractionally logged primary closed broad-leaved evergreen lowland forest along La Ma River on very steep hill slopes composed with clayey shale and sandstone at elevation 300-400 m a.s.l. Lithophytic and terrestrial herb on rocky steep hill slope. Flowers light blue. Locally common.

Northern Vietnam, Lao Cai Prov., Van Ban Distr., Khanh Yen Ha municipality, elevation from Na Nheo village to the S from 680 to 880 m a.s.l. (around point 21ø59'24''N, 104ø16'23''E). Secondary evergreen broad-leaved wet submontane forest on very steep granite and quartzite slopes of river canyon. Terrestrial herb up to 1 m hg on wet steep river slope. Flowers white, tube at the base purple-violet. Common.
