Primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on steep mt slopes composed with granite along Khe Van stream at elev 400-450 m a.s.l. Terrestrial achlorophyllous tuberiferous white saprophyte. Flowers white, lip white, occasionally with fine light pink marks. Occasional.

Hanoi, private nursery wild collected in N.Vietnam, Lai Chou Prov. Flowers odorless, tepals light olive green, petals with white apex having light violet tint, lip white to light greenish with yellow center and deep dirty violet lateral spots at the base, column green, anther deep violet, ovary dark olive-violet-green.

N. Vietnam, prov. Cao Bang, distr. Bao Lac, municipality Yen Lac, vicinities of Yen Lac village (N 22°44′ E 105°50′), about 44 km to NWW from Cao Bang town. Primary open coniferous mossy forest along tops of limestone remnant karst ridge at 1500 m alt. Epiphyte. Very common.

Primary open coniferous and mixed semideciduous forest along tops of remnant limestone ridge at 600 m alt. Epiphyte. Flowers yellowish-brown. Very common, sporadically abundant.

21°59′04′'N, 104°15′08′'E). Primary closed broad-leaved evergreen submontane forest on steep granite and quartzite slopes at elev. 1000- 1100 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on high tree. Very common. Usual co-dominant of epiphytic plant communities in canopies of high trees.

Broad-leaved evergreen secondary closed forest. White terrestrial achlorophyllous saprophytic herb in shady place. Flowers white, lip with callus having numerous finest gray marks, on lower surface with large orange-brown spot. Very rare.

Secondary broad-leaved evergreen lowland forest on montane hills composed with shale. Achlorophyllous terrestrial saprophyte on very steep shady wet slope. Flower white. Very rare.

Highly degraded primary evergreen dry open broad-leaved forest on very steep rocky slopes and on tops of remnant mountain composed with highly eroded marble-like solid crystalline limestone at elevation 800-900 m a.s.l. Epiphyte on old mossy gnarled tree on tops of ridge. Rare.

Remnants of primary and secondary dry broadleaved evergreen forest on rocky sandy uplifted plateau composed with eroded sandstone at elev. about 600-650 m a.s.l. Terrestrial rosulate herb on mossy pillows covered quartzite sand in gnarled thicket of Baeckia frutescens along rocky plateau cliff. Locally common.
