Lithophytic perennial herb, creeping rhizome up to above 40 cm long, flower dark red, lips with long filiform at apex, growing on rocks in shaded and humid areas on steep slopes of mountains, elevation above 300 m a.s.l., locally common.

Kon Tum Province, Kon Ray District, Dak Coi Commune. Plant has short inflorescence, 3-4 overlapped bract at base, floral bract as long as pedicel with ovary, base of lip with triangular keel, apical with terete/triangular callus, 2 separate pollinaria, flower purple to dark purple.
