Epiphyte with pendulous stems to 40 cm long in tall tree. Not rare.

hairy with short white hairs. Common.

Fl. in cult. 05 01 2023, L. Averyanov, AL 1789, tepals light yellowish to light pinkish with pink purple nerves and spots on lip, column white, at front with purple marks, anther cap and pollinia pale yellow.

Terrestrial herb in shady places with leaves to 1.2 m long, flowers bad smelled, yellowish with dirty violet stripe on median tepal. Locally abundant.

Remnants of primary evergreen broad-leaved and mixed forest (with Pinus wangii) on very steep rocky slopes and on mountain tops composed with highly eroded karstic light gray marble-like limestone at elevation 1300-1350 m a.s.l. Terrestrial and lithophytic herb on shady slope.
