Vietnam, type herbarium specimen prepared from cultivated plant, 23 May 2021, Bleddyn Wynn-Jones, BWJ 15766 originated from central Vietnam, Quang Nam Province, Thang Binh District, near Phuoc Duc Hamlet, around point 15°27′N 107°49′E, degraded remnants of lowland primary broad-leaved evergreen forest on eroded steep hill slopes with soil mostly washed away at elevations 460–490 m a.s.l., 29 January 2018, Bleddyn Wynn-Jones, V.D. Nguyen.
