FLORA OF VIETNAM

Pinus dalatensis Ferre

Vietnam, Quang Binh Prov., Minh Hoa Distr., Dan Hoa municipality, Giang Man Mountain, Vietnam-Laotian border, about 6 km to N of Cha Lo borders station, around point 17º41’09’’N 105º45’54’’E. Mixed and coniferous primary forest with Dacrydium and Fokienia along ridge edge composed with brown shale and sandstone at elevation 1000-1100 m a.s.l. Tree to 30 m tall and to 1 m in diameter on mossy sandstone rocky outcrops. Rare.
