(P. merkusii Jungh. et De Vriese)

Vietnam, Dak Lak Prov., Krong Bong Distr., Hoa Son Municipality, vicinities of Krong Kmar river, NE slopes of Chu Yang Sin mt system at elevation 600-800 m a.s.l. around point 12º27’55’’N 108º19’00’’E. Primary mixed broad-leaved and coniferous forest with Pinus latteri and P. krempfii along ridge edge. Tree 15-20 m tall and up to 0.4 m in diam. Common. Co-dominant of mixed and coniferous forest.
