Arundina caespitosa Aver. Type

Vietnam, Thua Thien – Hue Prov., A Luoi Distr., Huong Nguyen Municipality, in vicinities of Tra Ve forest protection station, around point 16°15'16''N, 107°26'57''E at elevation about 80 m a.s.l. Open riparian shrubs along rocky Tra Ve river valley on sandstone and granite outcrops. Lithophytic herb up to 0.4 m tall in crevices of wet rocky waterfall cliffs. Flowers purple, lip with white center. Very rare.
